Cranial Osteopathy on a baby
First your osteopath will take a detailed medical history from you, followed by a gentle physical examination. This will allow the practitioner to make an holistic diagnosis of your symptoms. We try to unravel the full story so we can treat the cause, and not just the symptoms. We will look at your posture through passive and active movements, and will start the gentle but powerful Osteopathic treatment which will consist of a general actuation of soft tissue release techniques and cranial manipulation. What does Cranial Osteopathy involve?

We treat the person not the condition and, because the treatment is so gentle, is suitable for newborn babies to the very elderly.

What does cranial treatment feel like?

Many patients feel gentle sensations of warmth, which can be under the Osteopaths hands or elsewhere. Most patients become profoundly relaxed as they feel the tension being drawn out of their body .

The treatment

Osteopathic treatment is holistic and is designed to treat both the whole body and specific symptoms.
